ZDHC Supplier to Zero
ZDHC SUPPLIER TO ZERO – PROGRESSIVE (NÍVEL 2)
We are proud to announce that A. Sampaio has achieved Level 2 certification on Supplier to Zero, meeting the Progressive level requirements of the ZDHC (Zero Discharge of Hazardous Chemicals) Programme for Chemicals Sustainable Management.
The Supplier to Zero Programme, connected to the ZDHC Gateway – the industry’s database of chemicals to use – empowers and enables our company to take ownership of its chemical management performance and ongoing commitment to improving its supply chain impact.
Being part of the Supplier to Zero Programme offers a unique opportunity to position A. Sampaio as a future-focused company.

Renewable Energy
Energy purchased from the power grid is 100% produced from renewable sources.
LED Lighting
Change of lighting to LED in all facility areas.
Smart Initiatives
“Smart” initiatives, like the use of heat generated by the air compressors to heat production areas.
Storage
100% PVC-FREE Plastic
Our fabric rolls are packed in 100% PVC-FREE recycled and recyclable plastic.
Recycled and Recyclable paperboard Tubes
Our fabrics are rolled in recycled and recyclable paperboard tubes.
Residues Separation
All residues are sorted by type and collected by authorized operators. At A. Sampaio, our textile residues have always been recycled, but we are now making further separation and studying upcycling/closed loop possibilities with local operators.
Vehicles
100% Electric Vehicles
We acquired two 100% electric vehicles as part of an internal energy efficiency strategy. In addition, we have electrical charging stations at our facilities.
Fleet Renewal
At A. Sampaio, electric and energy-efficient vehicles are replacing cargo transport vehicles.

CITE
EQUAL PAY SEAL (2024)
With satisfaction, A. Sampaio shares its distinction with the 2024 Equal Pay Seal, awarded by the Commission for Equality in Labor and Employment – CITE for good practices in promoting Equal Remuneration between Women and Men for equal work or of equal value.
On November 14th, National Equal Pay Day was celebrated. The wage gap between men and women worsened in 2022, ending a downward trend. In Portugal, women still earn, on average, 13.2% less than men. If we also consider regular premiums and subsidies, the difference rises to 16%.
This recognition is a testament to A. Sampaio’s ongoing commitment to gender equality and the elimination of the pay gap.
