The balance couldn´t have been more favourable for A. Sampaio and the remaining Portuguese companies that in recent days were present at A+A, in Dusseldorf, Germany. The fair, considered the world´s greatest showcase for work and safety equipment, ended this past Friday with a very positive outcome for the Portuguese companies that make up the From Portugal delegation.  In addition to a good pace of business, the companies also had the support of the Portuguese consul in Dusseldorf, Lídia Nabais, who visited the exhibitors last Wednesday. 

But the Portuguese participation is not only of dimension. In addition to the three islands From Portugal, side by side with some of the world´s biggest players, Portugal has also made good business in Germany. 

Who considers that this edition of the fair “has always been growing” is João Mendes, from A. Sampaio. “The first day was calm, although it was already interesting, but the following days were at the level of previous editions”, he says, sharing that he met with clients from Austria, Brazil, Germany, Spain and Scandinavian and Baltic countries. 

With a From Portugal delegation made up of A. Sampaio & Filhos and other companies, to which CITEVE also joins, the participation of Portuguese SMEs in A+A Dusseldorf is an initiative of Selectiva Moda and ATP – Portuguese Textile and Clothing Association, which aims to promote the internationalization of Portuguese SMEs in the textile and fashion area. The From Portugal project is co-financed by Portugal 2020, under Compete 2020 – Operational Program for Competitiveness and Internationalization, through the European Regional Development Fund.
